Mr. Abhijit Kumar
Mr. Kumar is the Founder and Principal at New York Capital Advisory, LLC (NYCA).

​Before starting NYCA, he spent 4 years at a credit hedge fund, where he was the Director of Portfolio Strategy and Research. In this role, he oversaw the development and implementation of proprietary investment strategies across several asset classes. A marquee example is the development and execution of a $200 million structural arbitrage strategy in structured credit.

Prior to this, he spent 6 years at J.P. Morgan Investment Bank where he co-managed a $1 billion market value complex Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS) derivatives portfolio and researched investment strategies in U.S. structured credit including Private Label Residential Mortgage Backed Securities (RMBS). Mr. Kumar was also an integral part of the team which led to the high-profile settlement of Private Label Mortgage Litigation against J.P. Morgan. Mr. Kumar began his career at Goldman Sachs & Co. and spent time at WorldQuant LLC, a statistical arbitrage fund sponsored by Millennium Partners, one of the largest hedge funds in the world.

Mr. Kumar holds a Master of Science degree from Courant Institute of Mathematics (NYU) and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Mumbai University. He is also a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts.
